It’s been almost a year since I reviewed CTCMath. (You can read my original review here ).
– I wanted to update you guys — Evergreen has used it this entire past year and it’s the best math program I’ve found for her! Boo loves it, too.
This program is so great, that I actually just payed to renew it for an additional 18 months for both girls!
Some things that I try to review end up on the back burner after awhile, or we end up receiving something else that works better. Very few things end up being products I love enough to actually pay for myself. Since this was on of those select few, I wanted to share it with you guys again. I highly recommend CTCMath. 🙂
Our favorite math curriculum!
Thanks for posting this review! This looks like something we might try!! Question though! They sell it for 1 kid or 2+ kids. What is the advantage to buying it for 2+ kids instead of just 1 and letting both kids use it, if you can move forward or backward anytime at any pace?
Thanks!!
Hey Erin. So, I couldn’t ever encourage anyone to use a product in a way that goes against their terms of service. Even if that wasn’t the case, though, I really think giving each kid their own account would just make your life so much easier. I suppose it would be technically possible to constantly move your kids around so that they can each do their lessons, but that would be a lot of micro-managing and tracking progress on your own. One of my fave things about this math is how little I have to do. Most days I can literally just tell both girls to do their math and that’s ALL I have to do. They each log-in, watch their videos, complete their questions, and are done. I get weekly emails about each of their progress, and they each earn printable certificates with their name on it when they finish sections. Wham-bam thank you ma’am. 😉
Awesome, thanks! I didn’t realize all that it does for tracking progress. I wouldn’t want to work around the company’s terms of service. I just thought if it is just math activities that could be repeated, then why do they sell it for 1 or 2+ kids, etc…, but it seems like it does so much more than that! Thanks!
It’s definitely more than just activities. It’s a full math curriculum with lots of neat features. You should try the free trial so you can see if it’s a good fit for you. 🙂
